More breaking news:
The evacuation will begin around 11:00 a.m Hawaii time which is 3:00 pm. centeral time. Read more here about the Tsunami warnings for the Alaskan Islands, too.

I had shut down the computer shortly after we came home from doing errands (around 2:30 in the afternoon CST) and watched the news till 5:00. The Tsunami warning center said They all evacuated to higher ground and then the Islands state got a small Tsunami. They were sure lucky though!
